The Tricel Tero is designed for simple, low-cost maintenance. It uses natural coconut coir as a filtering medium to polish wastewater, producing high-quality final effluent.
Over time, the coconut coir can be easily topped up or replaced to ensure the system continues to perform at its best. With minimal upkeep required, the Tero offers a reliable and eco-friendly solution with very low ongoing maintenance needs.
The size of your Tricel Tero system depends on the number of people (PE – Population Equivalent) in your home. Each Tero module measures 1078mm (H) x 2444mm (L) x 1012mm (W) and is scalable to suit your needs.

Up to 6 people → 1 module
Up to 12 people → 2 modules
Up to 18 people → 3 modules
Up to 24 people → 4 modules

The Tricel Tero system provides an additional level of wastewater treatment, refining the effluent from a primary system like the Tricel Novo (or compatible third-party units with a pumped, dose-limited discharge).
Stage 1: The Tero receives secondary treated effluent and begins a final treatment phase. It’s engineered for seamless integration with Tricel Novo but is also compatible with other systems using a suitable discharge setup.
Stage 2: The effluent is evenly distributed across natural filter media via a serviceable network. As it filters through, a combination of biological, chemical, and physical processes further purifies the water before it’s safely dispersed into the soil below.
This process ensures high-quality final effluent—ideal for sensitive sites or where discharge regulations are more stringent.
